Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News July of 2004, and has since covered many subjects, including the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings that occurred near Bailey, Colorado. Nair was employed at the request of ABC News in December 2007 as a reporter/anchor on ABC News Now. To fulfill her duties as a correspondent, Nair delivered live reports and briefings to ABC's networks. Nair was co-anchor on World News Now and America This Morning on ABC starting on September 17, 2008 up to February 18, 2011. The show was hosted by Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson on both shows. On Thursday, February 17, 2011, Nair declared that Friday, February 18 would be her final broadcast night on World News Now. Her final day with ABC News would be Friday, February 18. Peggy Bunker from KDVR Denver was immediately her successor. In each of the three segments of the World News Now's broadcast on February 18, Nair was honored by former and current colleagues such like Jeremy Hubbard. On her last day was when Nair treated her staff to a delicious breakfast.
